2 operating systems

I had win 2000 pro and installed xp home....i did the formatting correctly
and choose to instal xp and delete the existing os and that didnt work...now
i have 2 operating systems....is there a way to manually delete all win 2000
files and if so....how do i know what ones to delete?

please help

1. Launch WinXP.
2. Rename c:\WinNT to c:\WinNT.2000.
3. Wait a week.
4. If all is well, delete c:\WinNT.2000

Note that WinXP won't let you rename its own
system folder while it is up and running.
