2 ip for the same card?

how can I set up two ip for my 10/100 card?
I need it because I have a route and with one ip I take the ip of my ISP (
for things that need direct connection to internet) and with the new one
(192.168.*.*) I'd like to have a private address to colloquiate with other
computers of the lan...

Greetings --

You cannot assign two IP addresses to a single card. You'll
either need to use a router, or install a second NIC.

You can assign 2 or more IP addresses to the same NIC, but they all might be
static only. I cannot imagine any advantage having both public and private
IP on the same adapter. As suggested, you need two NICs or router.
