Ken,

OK, with NetBT properly Enabled, we have a start. Now, if you have a situation
where some folders are accessible, and others aren't, you have to adjust
permissioning.

So let's try one suggestion at a time. LSP / Winsock corruption may not be an
issue here. That's good news. Keep going now.
It's probably going to take me a few days to do the necessary
troubleshooting on permissions. I've spent a good amount of time on this
already and I need a fresh perspective. I also think I'd like to consult the
person that set up our network at work. Incidentally, you've been a big help
in getting me to this point, as this has been much more than a simple
question. Not posting for a few days DOES NOT mean I went away!

That was fast, wasn't it! I tried to add permission on WOLFEKE to
horizontech\janet, with the theory that that might work since the workgroup
name was also "horizontech", but it wouldn't allow me. Do you have any
suggesstions on how I give her permission to a shared folder on the work pc
WOLFEKE?

Ken,

You have to add a local account Janet to WOLFEKE, with an identical, non-blank
password. You cannot add permissions to a remote account. With workgroups, all
permissions are assigned to local accounts, on each server. If you want to use
an account on a remote server automatically, you setup and use an identical
account on the client.

I tried to create an account "Janet" with an identical password to an
existing account on WOLFEKE, but it asked for a domain and when I entered
"HORIZONTECH" (since the workgroup and the domain are named the same) I got
an error that said that the file necessary wasn't available, and I wasn't
surprised the file wasn't available because I did this at home and I wasn't
connected to the server at work).

Ken,

You need to login locally, using a local admin account, and add a local account.
If you don't have a local admin account setup, you'll have to get the domain
admins to set one up for you, while connected to the domain.
