1608 Error Message

I am attemptig to install drivers for a D-link 802.11b
wireless pc card adapter to my IBM laptop running Windows
2000 Professional.

I am receiving the following error message;

1608: Unable to create installDriver instance

I would appreciate any help possible to fix this error.

I get this error too. I recently installed SP4 on Windows2k Prof. Now I can't install anything that uses the ISScript.msi
