16 Bit MS-DOS SUBSYSTEM

hi guys,
I'm trying to run a Dos based program and all of a sudden i got this error.
the program was being run ok all the time before. below is the error.

C:\Winnt\System32\Autoexec.nt. The file system is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and MS Windows Applications. Choose close to terminate the
application.

If the previous recommendations do not yield a permanent solution, try this
approach:

This error is sometimes caused by a virus or anti-virus app deleting the
autoexec.nt file in %SystemRoot%\System32 folder.

Do a search for the autoexec.nt file on your system. Normally there are two on
your system.You should have one copy in the %SystemRoot%\Repair folder and
another in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder. If the latter location is void of
this file, simply, copy it from the Repair folder.

It may also be advantageous to change its file attribute to read-only.

If the search reports that no such files exist on your system, see the MSKB
article below.

Check your system for malware (spyware/adware/virus). The most commonly reported
malware is a trojan type called Windows SyncroAd. See this article, or search
Google, for symptoms and removal instructions:
