1.Vista compat. 2. Works with over 1TB

I have Diskeeper 2008 which does NOT work on large drives (over 1TB). The
new Diskeeper does, but I don't want to pay their ridiculous prices again,
now with add-ons. (yes, I have a lot of files on my Vista box) So, I need:

1.Vista compat.
2. Works with over 1TB

Is there ANYTHING good out there? Please don't tell me to use MS
defragmenter.
Tks.

Considering using a dedicated, robust defragmenter:

This may be one of your choices:

and this another one, being part of the tweak:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/DTweak-Free.shtml,

see if one of them suits you.

Another option would be to switch to Linux and forget defragmentation
altogether.

JkDefrag if you're looking for a free option; otherwise PerfectDisk is a
good choice.

Because of this:
"PerfectDisk Live is a subscription that is not a Raxco supported product.
For this reason, Raxco does not have access to your billing or account
information. Raxco has received numerous inquiries regarding this
subscription and we understand the reason for the confusion."
So, how do they get my information??

You think Linux is the answer to everything. Guess what? It ain't.
Ubuntu doesn't run the most popular software programs out there so in the
real world, Ubuntu is just CRAP on the desktop. Imagine, a FREE product
that NOBODY wants. Ubuntu is on less than one percent of the computers.

For ray Ubuntu is the best thing since sliced bread. with Ubuntu you can
post idiot posts about that piece of SHIT OS.
I have run Ubuntu and it's fun. However, it has a small software base and I
need to get work done.

Makes you wonder why they make defragmenters for linux huh? So who is
lying?

Sure as hell does. The only one I can find is for ext2, minix, and xiafs
- which hardly anyone uses. Been running Linux for nearly 10 years now -
total number of defragments: zero.

What programs do you need to get your work done?

Please do not discourage Frank from venturing into making vaguely technical
posts. They can be hilarious!

Quark, .docx compatibility, Filemaker Pro, Pagemaker, others. The server
version is installed on some of these.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting Ubuntu down. Eventually they will have
the software base too.

Open Office 3 can handle .docx. As I am not into desktop publishing, I
don't know if there are comparable programs available for the other
programs you use.

You are the one selling snake oil.

Really and that snake oil would be?
I'm not the one denying that linux uses a disk defragmentor. You are.
I'm not the snake oil salesman, you are.
I'm not the known and admitted lying cock sucking son of a cheap
whore...that would be you, sheep-fukker!

Actually, hot shot, do you know what happens when you reboot Ubuntu
every 39th time?

I didn't think so.

And maybe you didn't understand what you were reading. The article is
really pushing a data recovery app, based on the premise that one has to
revert to the older ext2 file system in order to even attempt a defrag
and that such a reversion could cause data loss. The article seems
poorly written and flies in the face of existing knowledge about linux
defragmentation.

Reading comprehension problems sheep-fukker? Print it out and have an
adult (wifie #4 maybe?) read and explain it to you.
Oh and I've caught you in yet another one of your ongoing lies!...LOL!
Lying loser!

Snake oil is the only thing being sold on that site and YOU obviously
need an adult to read it to you and explain it to you.
