1 UPS 2 Servers to shutdown automatically, only 1 seial connection

IS there a way of 1 windows 2000 server telling another to shutdown when the
first recieves a shutdown notification from the UPS. I do not have the
option of a network managment card or serial port expander on the UPS being
used. The ups is capable of running an application or script at the time of
shutdown. Ant help appreciated.

Yes.

If you use shutdown.exe from the Resource Kit then you should be able to
write a batch file to shutdown the remote PC that will run when your UPS
recieves a shutdown signal.

PSshutdown.exe has similar functionality I believe
