Updates are issued the 2nd Tuesday of the month. That is next week. there
was no new updates sent out this week. I have already checked my Vista
Updates to confirm this. These must be some old updates that you must have
not installed.

Alex,

According to my calendar, this is indeed the second Tuesday, and I had
the same 7 updates awaiting my pleasure.

Sorry, but *today*, January 8, is the second Tuesday of the month.

I received a bunch of Vista updates today.

Well I have not received any and I have forced checked all of my Vista
updates. So how is it that everyone else has received updates but not me??

I will say that yes my look at the calendar was off and today is indeed the
2nd Tuesday. I didn't count the first cause around here nobody worked. So
it was like the day didn't exist. :p

Still would like to know how everyone says they got 7 updates yet I have
none...

Well, you're saying that as if you doubt that it's true. I can assure
you that we are not lying to you. I got the updates, and I assume that
others who said they did also got them. Why you haven't gotten them
yet, I don't know, but you might go to Microsoft Update and see what's
there for you.

Perhaps they aren't applicable to Vista with SP1 (RC)?

I have SP1 (RC) on two machines (Ultimate x64 and Business x86), and the
updates are not available.

Alex, I know you have more on the ball than that:
Think about it, Alex:

The FIRST Tuesday of January, 2008 fell on January 1.
January 8, 2008 (a week later) also fell on a Tuesday, making it the SECOND
Tuesday
of January, 2008.

I too had a minimum of 2 Windows updates from Microsoft Update yesterday
(January 8, 2008).
My computer was already completely up-to-date as of January 7, 2008. So
these were NEW updates.

Alex, if ANYONE keeps his stuff up to date, it's me. They did INDEED run.
Look at KB's 943411, 943899, 943302, 890830, 941644, 905866. I can show you
a screenshot if you want as well. I had WLM open as I had to call the East
Coast early this morning, and mine stalled, but it DID run.

What you suggest is possible, and that might be his (and your) issue.
I don't know. Personally I wouldn't put a beta version of a service
pack on my computer. As far as I'm concerned, unless you have a spare
computer to play with it on, that's just looking for trouble. I can be
patient another month or two.

If you're still following this thread, grandpa59, please tell us if you have
the Release Candidate of Service Pack 1 installed.

Anyone else reading, please chime in with same info.

I have SP1 (RC) on a Business x86 and an Ultimate x64, and none of the
updates were (or are) available.

(Apologies if you have answered that. I seem to be missing a couple posts in
this thread.)
