0 bytes .pst file

Hi, this morning, for no apparant reason, my outlook.pst file has shrunk from
around 600MB to 0 bytes. Any suggestions as to what might have caused this
(so that I can avoid it in the future) and, more importantly, is there any
way of retrieving the data, it's all bound to be there on my hard drive,
somewhere.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Some form of corruption like a failing harddisk or a bad virusremoval
attempt. The only way to recover is to restore from backup.
