How can I programatically 'zoom' in on a field? I would
like to make the Zoom box that appears when you hit Shift
F2 appear automatically when I double click the field. Is
this possible?

In the DblClick event of your text box enter the following line of code

DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdZoomBox
