Hi,

I have a bit of a headache: I need to copy and paste a chart from a PDF
file to the Clipboard (that's easy to do); it pastes it as a bmp file.

I then need to reduce the overall dimension (Width x Length) of picture
but INCREASE its ZOOM level so that it is more readable when pasted
inside a PowerPoint slide.

I have some image manipulation programs but I really don't see an easy
way to do the above.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would try the following:
1) Open the PDF file, and zoom in until it's large. Then do a screen capture
and crop closely around the chart.

2) If that doesn't work, I'd try to get the original chart. It got into that
PDF somehow. Perhaps someone created it in Illustrator, e.g. Then you could
ask the creator to export the chart to WMF format, which is a vector format
and easily scalable.

Good luck. Hope one of these ideas helps.
Ellen
