Zone Alarm

Hey All,

I'm sorry. I know this isn't the right subject for this
group, but it's sort of an addition to my previous
question. I have "Zone Alarm" recently installed on my
computer, although it appears that it's really dragging
my system down (online & desktop). Is there anything I
can do about it? Thanks in advance all!

Which version of Windows are you running Zone Alarm on? If its on Windows
XP, you disable it use the built Firewall that comes with Windows XP (SP2).
Also, it would be best if you post a query at the Zone Labs forum about
configuring Zone Alarm for optimal performance on your system:

I disagree with Andre. Don't use the Microsoft Firewall instead of
ZoneAlarm. ZoneAlarm offers more protection as it warns you about programs
already on your computer that are trying to connect out to the internet.
Zone Alarm is more secure and better allows you to control what info gets in
or out of your computer. I looking for other sources of the bog down as I
personally have never experienced that with ZA on Win98 or XP. If ZA is the
culpret find another firewall that is similar to ZA and use that rather than
the Microsoft Firewall.
