ZOMG Spell Check changed to French after Office 2007 install!!

OK I'm in deep trouble- I use OE for mail. I had Office 2003 previously
installed and OE was using Office's spelling dictionary. Then I uninstalled
Office 2003 and installed Office 2007. OE is now using an absurd Fench
dictionary, and is prompting me for all words! OMG!
I checked the settings in OE and there are no other dictionaries in the drop
down box available! What do I do? Please!!

I managed to get it to work- Office 2007 doesn't have the proofing tools, so
I had to install the component from 2003.

Hi PowerUser

I read with interest your issue. I have a guy in the office here who has
installed office 2007 fully and is working with 2007 in all packages except
Excel. He removed Excel 2007 and put back on Excel 2003 and he is having the
same issue - a French dictionary, no options to change the setting in Excel
to another dictionary. This is affecting his spell-checking feature in Excel
- returns French suggestions for English words. All Office 2007 packages
work fine.

What component did you get and install and from where? Please can you help,
offer any advice?

You would get better support asking in the Office group. But in a
nutshell, it's like this. If you want Office 2003 AND 2007, install ALL
the Office 2003 apps you need and THEN install the Office 2003. Doing it
backwards really messes up the installation.

Thanks Bob I

Will switch to the Office group. Found the ZOMG message and thought it was
worth try. I assume you mean, install 2003 applications first, then the 2007
ones. Many thanks.

Ah yes, typo, sorry. 2003 then 2007.
