ohhhh didn't know that, i haven't been on for months now so i didn't really
stay up with the requirements, i will try to shorten it but some of it has
to be there like the part about deskspace, cuz without this i can't get
paid, but will shorten it to prevent anymore issues

If you're getting paid for your signature, it *is* spam, by
definition. You are clearly advertising. Regardless of how long your
signature is, I'm not interested in reading your spam, and will simply
killfile you, if you persist in doing this. I recommend that others do
the same.

oh dear, wish there was something i could do, but hard to pay bills without
these links, not to mention it's a program a lot of plp love, i know you
will prob say there is something you can do, and that owuld be to remove it,
but on my end, that would be like saying " i wanna have a life and eat but i
don't want any money to buy what i need" hopefully plp will overlook it
since it complys with the 4 line requirement, if not then i guess i will
have to be banned or leave this newsgroup. :(

The usual response is "don't let the door hit you on the ass on the
way out."

Your rationale could equally be applied to robbing banks--it's hard to
pay the bills without doing it. Maybe, but that doesn't make it
acceptable.

Goodbye, spammer.

If the sig has the -- before it and the main post has a relevant question
or answer I don't see the big deal. Is your time so precious that you
can't ignore a couple lines of adverts out of a helpful post? Maybe you
should be doing something other than reading these groups then.
As for recommending that others boycott a person, well you disappoint
me greatly. You can killfile me if you want. I'm not interested in getting
help from someone as arrogant as you anyway.

Come on, Tom. The guy is sig spamming and it's obvious.
He could at least have his sig set so that it is not included in
replies or forwards. He also changes his name quite often, a
sure sign of a troll and/or spammer. All he needs to do is
include two urls in his sig. One for bravenet and one for plimus.
But, he has *five* urls in his sig..... that's just too much. I believe
he has a total of 14 lines in his sig..... come on, that's a bit ridiculous.

He also asks the same questions over again, and wonders why his posts
may be deleted. Maybe, because they look like spam.

His first url AllAboutGames.BraveHost is essentially the same as
his second url and has absolutely nothing to do with games.
It's a spam trick, pure and simple.

No one has addressed your belief that your posts were deleted -- they
weren't. This newsgroup is very active and if Windows Mail is set to
download a fixed number of headers, you may not see all posts.

In Windows Mail:

Tools -> Options -> 'Read' tab -> 'News' section

Clear the checkbox labelled "Get X headers at a time"

Good Luck,

Keith

I'm with Tom....who cares. I never even look at anything past the sig
anyway, unless of course the post is from that person here that insists
on putting their reply below the sig.

Just my 2¢

You're right. Fourteen lines is over the top. I should never drink four
Grande cups of coffee before posting! I still don't like the idea of
telling other people what they should and shouldn't read, though.

I understand your point, and generally agree with that.

I reckon, that particular poster just rubs me the wrong way,
and I even tried to answer his question.

Take care,

Michael

How do you know Tom didn't post from somewhere else?
Not saying you are wrong, but I'd like for Tom to verify this.

I've posted with Covad, Bellsouth, and Road Runner and other IPs.
Mostly RR, but there have been times when I've been away
from home and posted to this group. Maybe, he did, too.

I'm me. Or at least, I was. 8^) Now that WLM has Microsoft
Communities I use my Hotmail address for posting here and
(e-mail address removed) for posting to the RR News Server.
(without nospm of course)

Tom Lake. The one and only me.
