OK, you've been around a long time and have provided invaluable help to
me in the past... for which I am deeply grateful.
But goldurnit, this time you're wrong...

*Before* running that command in XP, if I expanded a folder (on the left
side) that contained zip files, not only would it show the subfolders,
but all the zipfiles in that folder in the left pane. If there were lots
of ziplies in the folder it would take it forever to populate.
*After* running the command, it would only show the subfolders. If you
clicked on the folder itself, the zipfiles showed in the right pane as
you would expect.
I use Winzip and have no use for the frills.
All I'm looking for is a way to suppress it in Vista.

That command in XP just keeps them from being searched or opened
natively, it doesn't prevent them from showing up as zipped folders in
Explorer.
