Zip File I downloaded crashes my DSL Connections.

I downloaded the Star Wars Translator at Pepsi's Call Upon Yoda for my son.
It was a zip download I saved to computer, then extracted the folder to open
it. The program ran fine and all was good until I closed the program. Once
closed I no longer had DSL Connections. It took 4 hours with my ISP, 2
different times, to resolve the issues my router caused, because it wouldn't
release the IP ADDRESS and couldn't get a new IP to renew. Because of all
this I need to get rid of this program... but, it's not in add/remove and
because it was a zip program I don't know what to do to remove it. Any
ideas... it must go.... but, i'm afraid to simply trash the file.... SO
HELP!!!

You said that you extracted it to a folder, correct? Did you run an
install program from that folder or did you just run the program from
that folder? If the latter, then all you need to do is delete the
folder.

Are you sure this was even from Pepsi? I can't find a legitimate link with
any of the key words you gave.
Do you have the exact url you used to download the Star Wars Trananslator?
If so please post it.

That is what I also found, and it is not what the OP described. I don't see
a Star Wars Traslator.
OK, after much searching, I found the file they need to search for, it is
called "translator3.zip".
They need to do a search for translator3.zip and expand it to a folder. It
still looks like a bad idea even if it does work.

LOL

I found it off of the first link that I got from my Google search. You
are just being too literal. It was called the "Intergalatic
Translator."

And you try telling a kid that it's a bad idea to run that crap! ;-)

OK first off sorry about the name... it was at www.calluponyoda.com part of
Pepsi promotion... anyways... I downloaded and saved it to my computer. It
was in a zip format (whatever that means) I clicked on the file and on the
right side of the screen window it said to extract and click it. I then
clicked on the folder and the program opened. At that time a desktop icon
appeared on the desktop and I didn't have to open it with the zip folder
again. Since I can't see what's in the folder (or can I?) without extracting
it again or opening it and causing my DSL/router connections to crash.
Verizon's pretty slow at getting to the root of the problem and I can't
afford to spend another 4 hours on the phone with them.... LOL So if I did
it this way, I should be able to trash it without any problems? God, I hope
this was the way I did it ... LOL

Power off the translator. If it is still running in your system tray,
double click on the icon in the system tray then click on the power
button of the translator.

Delete the Pepsi-IGT.exe file and the translator3.zip file. Empty your
Recycle Bin.
