Zip File Download

I'm embarassed to ask such a simple question of all you experts but can
anyone tell me how to load a backup disc of downloaded music to Windows Media
so that I can play my playlists? My computer was recently cleaned up and
Kazaa and p2p et cet were deleted because of problems. All my playlists show
up in Windows Media but will not play now; however, I made a zip file backup
disc and would like to think I have not lost all that music - I'm not sure
how to correctly load the music or if I can load the music into Media Player
so I can enjoy it again. Would appreciate steps to do it if it can be done.

rita,
nice to hear that you do have a backup. well all you need to do to make your
old playlists work is to put all the songs where they were before you cleaned
up your system. if i assume the songs to be in different folders and at
different locations of your drive that would be impossible until you remember
the locations for each of them or you check the path for each of the file
entries in media player and then put them there. a better idea would be to
first extract all the songs from your zip backup to a particular folder on
your hard drive and then recreate your playlists by refering to the old
one(incase you dont remember which song was part of which playlist).
