Zip Code question for clarity

Hi,

I was reading the newsgroup for some help on the leading zero problem with zip
codes in mailmerge. What worked for me is that I re-typed everything formatted
as text, not just "changing" the format from zip code to text in place.

All those threads about copying the table into word confused me, why did this
work for me, did I just get lucky?

Granted it was a pain in the butt, as I had over 200 entries.

Hi Tom,
Formatting as text and converting works fine, not luck.
You did not need to retype though, you could have used
a macro. First format the column as text then run the macro.
