when i try to enter a phone number in a cell if the first number is a zero it
will not recognise it ???

Sounds as though you're storing the phone number as a Numeric field, as
opposed to Text.

Change it to Text: it's not as though you're going to be doing arithmetic on
the number.

Hi Douglas J. Steele
when i store it as text i have to format each cell seperatly is this the
only way to do it??
