Downloaded FontLab Demo version and in attempting to open
it received the message "Script Exception Win32StubLib;
Error code: 3; Failed to open package; Param 1:17; Param
2:0"

What are you trying to run when the message appears? The setup for the
program? Or has the program been installed and it is delivering this error
message?

If it appears while running the setup, here's some suggestioins:
-Change Folder Options> View to show hidden files and folders. Then use
Windows Explorer to go to this folder:
Documents and Settings\<you>\Local Settings\Temp
Delete the contents of the folder. Try the install again.

-Download a new copy of the setup file. The one you have may be corrupt.

-Check the online technical support documentation for the program.
