ACCESS 200

Howdy

I have a user that was working on a Database this morning without any problems and now she can't get in. She hasn't done anything different at all. All our PCs are on our domain, have standard computer names, every user is an Admin of their own PC, etc..

THe MDB file is out on a network drive but nothing has changed at all. I think she did go in through the Access 2k3 settings to try to set some things but obviously it didn't work. Is there some way to reset everything so she can get back in

If not, would doing a file restore from last night's backup work? Or even reinstalling office 2k3? Just looking for any options.

Obviously, it did. It sounds as though she ran the security wizard. Check
to see if there is a desktop shortcut that was created to launch the now
secure mdb.

The wizard creates a backup of your unsecured mdb (you'll find it in the
same folder as the mdb but with a bak extension). I'd rename the mdb, and
then rename the database.bak to database.mdb.

If that works, then you can delete the mdw file that the wizard created.

Restoring from backup should work, but try the above first. Reinstalling
office 2003 won't help.
