Not sure of the question - click & drag each range in turn while holding
down CTRL the whole time, perhaps.

Yes, I feel your pain. I often have the same issue, since my data usually
contains hundreds or thousands of points. As I mentioned in another thread,
the keyboard shortcuts seems to have been lost a few years back. I really
miss them. Microsoft, are you listening?

Mess around a bit with the ctrl-click, shift-click, and ctrl-shift-click.
You can do what you want with the mouse and the scroll bar. It's not as
convenient as the keyboard shortcuts, but it's better than the click-n-drag
routine.

Here's one example. The goal is to select a1:a1000 and c1:c1000. Click on
A1. Scroll down until you can see A1000. Shift-click on that cell. Now
ctrl-click on C1000. Scroll back to the top and ctrl-shift-click cell C1.
As I said, more painful than the keyboard but easier than click-n-drag.

OK - well, I've just discovered (for me at any rate) that you can select
multiple ranges in the Name Box. The Name Box is directly left of the
formula bar. Click in it & type eg:

A1:A10,C1:C5

, then press Enter. You can check the limits of your column ranges by
selecting one of their cells & double-clicking the cell bottom border. This
will move the cursor down until it hits the first blank cell (the bottom of
the data, with any luck).

ctrl-click on C1000. Scroll back to the top and ctrl-shift-click cell C1.

Unless I'm doing it wrong, this selects C1 only.
