Yearly Archive Folders

Im trying to create a folder to store all mail from 2010 in outlook. I can
create a folder, but it isn't placing itself correctly. I need it to be an
archive folder not just another mail folder.

Can some one lead me in the right direction.

try File / New / Outlook Data File
that will show up like an archive folder

That created me a "Personal 2009" pst file but not a folder in the "All Mail
Items" list...

A folder named Archive is created when you configure your Archive options,
but you can name the file allmost anything.
An Archive file is just another set of Personal Folders

once you see it in folder list view, make a folder in it and pick Mail Items,
that should show up on your all mail items list
