yahoo games

I have a computer running windows xp - tried to load
yahoo games but nothing comes up. it said check for
upgrades noting 'virtual machine' but can find no such
reference in the windows update screen. can you tell i'm
new at this? Help

I ran into the same thing. I just got windows XP and apparently it does not come with Java Script on it, something about a law suit. There is a download you can get but it is not from microsoft, they have nothing to do with this java script anymore. Everything is changing over to .NET etc. I have yet to try the download still reading up on it.

If you look at the bottom of the games page in yahoo under questions, it shows this download there. Hope that helps.

Debby, you can test for which version (if any) you have of the Microsoft
Virtual Machine, and follow the instructions on MVP Sandi Hardmeier's site:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm She includes download
instructions and several sites from which the VM is available.
