Yahoo browser dominates

I'm running XP and my SBCYahoo dial-up always logs on with
the Yahoo browser. Their tech support has tried to help,
but no cigar.

I've unchecked the Yahoo browser as the default and
checked IE as the default, but when I log on, the Yahoo
browser shows up. I then close out of Yahoo, check to stay
connected, and double-click on IE.

When I ran Windows 98, I was able to switch browsers so
that every time I logged on, IE was the default.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to get IE as the
default when I log on?
