I recieve this when I try to access a certain folder on another networked
drive, I can access other folder, but one perticular folder wont allow
access. the shared setting are the same as other folders

one Desktop and Laptop and network perfectly, the second laptop can access
the first two, but the first two seem to be able to access everything, but
one perticular folder.

I checked the registery and the value for restrictanonymous is set at (0) on
all three computers.

if anyone has run into this or might have any suggestions how to deal with
this, it would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance for your time.

Chaz,

When you're talking about "can access some but not all folders", are the folders
in question on a system running XP Home or XP Pro? That will make a difference.

Thanks for the reply Chuck,

All three OS Are Windows xp home

each system has two users, the PC and first Laptop were setup with my name
as the first account and being an Admin account, the second account is my GF,
and also an Admin Account.

the third a laptop was setup with the Primary Admin Account being my GF, and
I'm the secong Admin Account on it.

I'm logging into all three with my Login, The folder that the first two
Can't access is a folder on her laptop being her Documents folder under her
login account.

I have set sharing access to both of our Document folders, and I can access
mine, and her account can access mine from another system. her Documents
folder can't be accessed either from my loggin account OR her login account
on either of the first two systems (again all three running win xp home)...

Chaz,

The "My Documents" folder is part of the personal profile of each local user on
each computer. Network access would require either being an administrator, or
the local user. With XP Home and Simple File Sharing, all network access is as
Guest. Guest is not a member of administrators.

The simplest solution here would be to put documents into "Shared Documents".
