XP's Synchronize feature

I'm trying to configure XP's synchronize feature between a desktop and
laptop. I'm looking for a concise procedure for setting it up. I've found
bits and pieces, but nothing that shows the whole process. My friend had it
working before, but laptop crash and had to be rebuilt.

I presume you are talking about Offline Files? There's a fairly good article
in Help and Support about it....
