Xp's bulk renaming ability.

Hi all.

Wondering whether or not anyone can tell me if it is possible to change the
way that XP bulk renames.
At the moment it renames like this:

file
file (0)
file (1)
file (2)
file (3)

Is it possible to change this to another format somehow. And if so... Could
you tell me how?
