xpe Smart Card Resource Manager

Hello,
i want a smart card reader working on xpe. so i installed all needed driver
and tried afterwards to start the SCardSrv (Smart Card Resource Manager)
local service - the following message was displayed:

Could not start Smart Card Resource Manager service on Local Computer
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.

on the xpe system no dependencys are shown to me. on a xp pro system a
dependency to the plug & play service is shown to me.

so my main problem is that the needed service will not run on the xpe - have
any one a idea?!

Hi!!

Try this:
Go to Services (start\settings\control panel\administrative tools)
then double click in Smart Card Service. There select the Log On tab. Check This account, click in Browse (this opens a window) there click on advanced button, (this also open another window) click the Find Now button (in object type, select User or Built-in security principal, and in locations select in the local computer). Select LOCAL SERVICE user. Click ok twice, and type the administrator password. Click apply, then ok, and it's done! This work for me, in a wyse V90. Hope this helps.
