XPe. Local Users & Groups. Invalid Syntax. Pleace Help!!

Hello!
I need some help! The image I've made as it should except for Local
Users and Groups. It seems that all the components are there, as far as
I can tell! When I enter Computer Management, the Local Users and Groups
icon is marked with an x over it! When I click on it the window to the
right sees, Unable to accesses the computer … The error was: Invalid
Syntax.

Dos any one have any suggestions??

Hi Trond -

It sounds like you might not have the lusrmgr.msc file in your runtime.
The component that owns the computer management snap-in component doesn't
pull in the Users Control Panel component. Because of that behavior, when
you browse the computer management snap-in you will recieve the behavior you
described. Just add the Users Control Panel component to your config and
you'll be working just fine. (assuming that adding this component doesn't
break any footprint restrictions you may have)

Thanks! But I have added the Users Control Panel! That is part of the
problem!

in compmgmt.msc) then you're hitting something that I've not seen before.
Try using Diskmon and Regmon from http://www.sysinternals.com to see if they
give any hints as to a registry key or file which could be missing. I'd
also suggest that you check the Event Viewer (this is brought in by the
Administration Support Tools component) to see if there are any errors in
either the Application or System nodes.

Thanks for the help people!

I got it working! I removed the component "Users Control Panel". Then
added it again ran an update and then rebuilt the image and it then
worked as it should. All the files that I needed were seems to have been
there, but it probably was a registry entry was missing!
