XPE El-Torito DVD. Need feedback

Hello everyone,

My company is planning to deploy their product through XPE El-Torito
DVD. Because there are many problems of installations and
configurations of our product on the client side which is not due to
our application rather the existing system configuration and its
environment where the software is going to be installed. To eliminate
we consider to deploy our software over XPE El-Torito DVD and give a
pre configured dedicated system to client and he just need to boot from
Disk and use application. The application is supposed to run 24 hours a
day and 7 days of week, most probably the end-user will interact with
our application after every 15 or 30 minutes. The system will be
installed some-where in the boiler control room in the plant site. My
question is what are the pros and cons of using XPE El-Torito DVD here.
Personally to me it doesn't seems to be an elegant solution. Anyone who
did this and what are your experiances, how the application behave in
the real environment or any other type of feedback.

Regards
Farrukh Arshad.

XPE can boot from a DVD. Not alllot of fun to create, but doable. The tricky
part is the 24/7. You will have to monitor EWF RAM overlay for a 24/7
period. It might fill up have to cause the system to re-boot.
