XP64 cd won't boot

burned it as usualy. i can see that it tries to boot then i see jumping
cursor and then nothing just regular xp32 hd os boot. im running on asus
nct-d with nocona 2,8.

or is there a compatability issue?

PS. cd is bootable checked it. so i don't need help or info on trying
burning again. did that twice.

do know the particulars about your motherboard, but are you using a 64 bit cpu.
there is a public 64 bit news group, the access info is where you got the 64 bit download.

Cant "burn it as usual". You must use an app like Roxio or Nero and choose
the option to "burn from disc image". If you merely copy the file you
downloaded to CD, you will get exactly what you are experiencing.
