Right-click on the desktop and select Properties. (or open Control
Panel- Display)
Click on the Settings tab
In the lower left portion of the Window are the words Screen
resolution and there is a slide bar right below them. Under the
slide bar it probably says 800 x 600 pixels.
Click on the slider on the slide bar and drag it to the right one
position. The numbers under the bar should change to 1024 x 768
pixels.
Click on Apply to use the new settings.
