When I turn my pc on and it's in the processing of
booting, all I'm getting is a scrolling bar. Can anyone
please help me on what seems to be the problem?

Hi,

It would help if you gave some details. Like what type of system, recently
installed hardware/software, etc. Good details get good answers, see:

When you start the boot process try clicking the f8 key
continuously to get into the options then try "last good
known configuration" If you have tried several boots this
may not be an option. If not then do it all again and then
hit safe mode and wait for it to open. Now click start\run
and type in msconfig and then the boot.ini tab and click
the check all boot paths button and see if it finds a bad
master boot record and asks if you want to write a new
one. If it does make sure you choose to write a new one.
Then try rebooting. If all this doesn't work then you may
want to try putting your XP disk or recovery disk in the
drive and then when it prompts to "click any button to
boot from CD" do just that. Click any button on your
keyboard and then see if it boots into your desktop. Once
there then do the start\run\msconfig\boot.ini\check all
boot paths thing and see what happens. As for mister
Nutcase would you mind telling me how knowing his system
and all it's particulars is going to help you solve his
problem? Get real. If that's the case we would see pages
and pages of benchmarks here all of which has squat to to
with a boot loop. Have fun.

Hi,

Boot up the computer in safe mode and see if there is any
conflict hardware or software that prevents the booting
of the computer.

This is a lengthly problem which can be determined only
by experimenting by a hardware expert.
