Xp wont let me open more than one program. HELP.

Its a NEw PC build and its just started to do this for some weird
reason.

Gigabyte 956p DS3 Mobo with a Allendale E6400 Itell CPU with 2 gigs of
DDR2.


Must be something i can do. For some reason it just wont let me run
more than one program after a while. On a fresh reboot everything is
fine. Give it an hour or so and I am stuck with haveing to close
programs if i want to run another.

Now this is a dual Core system this shoudl not be the case. And for a
few weeks it has not been that way. Also for some weird reason i was
locke dout of my Windows task manager and I am the Administrater and
only user of the PC and i DiD not do it.

I suspect somthing has changed somthing and now its screwed ???


Any ideas on a fix before i have to reformat and reinstall ???

Do you recall doing *anything* in particular prior to this problem?

Are there any problems when you run in Safe Mode?

Check for Application and System errors in the Event Viewer:
Control Panel > Administrative Tools >Event Viewer.
