XP won't boot

I recently lost the ability to boot into Windows. I tried
using the "XP" CD to repair but can't get very far. Is it
possible to repair my windows install, or do I need to
format and start over? Help please.

It depends on what part of the boot record or boot got lost. I was able to
use fixboot from the repair console. But I would only do that after trying
the repair function of the install CD first.
