XP Won't Boot

S

Stever

I just replaced ME with XP on my laptop.

I was installing a wireless network card when the system
froze up.

Now all I get is a repeat of the safe mode screen over and
over again.

It won't boot into safe mode or any other mode. It just
keeps cycling.

And, when I tried to get online support, I was asked to
enter my product ID, but I can't get my product ID unless
the ****ing system is up. So I can't get online help. MS
only offers support during weekday hours. If this company
didn't have a monopoly, they could not get away with this.

Someday someone is going to shoot Bill Gates and it won't
be too soon.

It is now midnight on a Saturday and I need to get this
system up and running.

Any other company with products this poor would have been
put out of business long ago. But we are stuck using this
shit.

Help....

I don't work for MS but....

Can you boot from Windows CD and then do a System restore to get back to a
point before you installed the wireless network drivers?

Then hit the WLAN card makers web site to see if they have more recent
versions?
