XP wireless sharing

Al

I have a desk top with XP and a laptop with XP.
I have a wireless connection between the two computers
and I am connected to the internet with LDS.
Everything works fine.

I am trying to find out how to use my printer with my
laptop, with the wireless connection I have.

Now I need to unplug the usb connection for the printer
and plug it into the laptop.

I hope I made this clear..

Thanks
Al

Hi, Al -

Just share the printer on the desktop PC.

Open Control Panel --> Printers and Faxes and right-click
the printer. The "Sharing" tab at the top of the
properties page will allow you to share the printer.

Then, go to the laptop and install a new printer - when
prompted for the location you can either have Windows XP
search the network for the printer or type the location
in this format -

\\computername\sharedprintername

hth -
