xp visual style in registry

The visual styles are not stored in the registry, they are stored under :
C:\windows\Resources\Themes (if C: is the drive on which Windows XP is
installed)

if the visual styles are not stored in the registry, then is there any
other way to retrieve the visual style of my old machine and apply
that in my new machine.

i tried to copy the "C:\windows\Resources\Themes" folder and paste it
in my new machine, but it does not works.

how to make it possible? I don't want to do it through that "Display
Properties" Dialog.

What are you trying to do and what issues are you having?

sorry for not explaining my issue clearly.

i want to change the appearance of a XP machine from the "classic
style" to the "XP visual style" via registry or by some other means. I
want to know whether it is possible or not?
