XP upgrade, modem problems

I upgraded to XP from Windows 2000. The modem is said to
be working property, but I get Error 681.

I downloaded and installed a new driver, but that did not
work. I use SBC Yahoo, but they told me that IBM or
Microsoft would have to help me.

I use an IBM ThinkPad 600x. HELP!!

I would get in touch with IBM on this one Joe. Sounds like you'll be best
served by removing the modem from device manager and reinstalling it with
the proper XP compatible drivers.
