Does anyone know if you get two lic. with the XP Pro
upgrade so you could upgrade say your laptop and desk
computers? Someone told me this was the case but I wanted
to make sure before I spend $200.

Also anyone who has a similar computer who has done the
upgrade let me know how it works.

Although you *can* buy one copy of XP and a second license from
Microsoft, it's not a good deal. The discount is small (around
15%) and off the list price. You're almost certainly better off
just buying a second copy from a discount source.

That configuaration should be fine. But to check your entire
computer, not just the CPU and RAM, run the free Upgrade Advisor
at

It isn't, and never has been for Windows. There is such a dual install
allowed for retail versions of Office, nit not Windows.

Should be fine. Read Gary Woodruff's article on upgrading to XP at
