I have an XP machine that has a mapped drive on it to a
Win2K machine. I can map the drive put in the username
and password and the drive comes up. If I reboot the
machine the drive comes up with a red X on it. If I double
click on the drive it will again ask for a password.

How do I get it to remember the password??? I do not want
to have to click on the drive each time to access my
software. The purpose of the dive is for a database on
the Win2K machine. This is a peer to peer network.

Thanks for any thoughts

Yeah but that just ensures that the drive shows back up
each time you reboot. I do not want it to ask for a
password everytime I reboot.

Shawn

had this same issue a few weeks ago, when I was setting up my backup program
here at work.

At the start menu
-- Run
"control userpasswords2"

Click on the advanced tab & enter the credentials for the share and the next
time it shouldn't ask again.
