I have upgraded (?) from XP to Vista and it is terrible. Is it possible to
go back to XP easily?

'Easily' is relative to who ytou are and what you dod to backup the system
before making such a drastic change.

Given you have asked the question - the answer is inevitably "no"...

Otherwise:

After backing up any data you wish to transfer to the new OS
installation, simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be
offered the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part
of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of
boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

Then the backed up data can be restored and applications (Those

Sure is. Back up your data, then boot with the XP CD, and start a clean
install, beginning with deleting and recreating partitions and formatting
them.

You must, of course, have all drivers on hand, including motherboard chipset
drivers.
