OK, I'll let everyone know that I'm a Macintosh man.
I've got this Compaq Persario 900 laptop with Windows
Home XP which I got to work HAM programs which weren't
ported to the Macintosh platform. To work the Internet
wirelessly with the laptop I've got a D-Link AirPlus
Xtreme G (DWL-G650)wireless Cardbus adapter. I've also
got an iBook notebook computer. For Internet access I
use Cox Cable High Speed Internet which goes to a
Motorola SB4220 SURFboard Cable Modem with is connected
by an Ethernet cable to an Apple Airport Extreme. To the
Airport I've got a HP Deskjet 5550 Inkjet printer since
the Airport has a USB port for a printer. I have no
problem printing wirelessly with the iBook but as usual
Microsoft doesn't give one much help, if any, on printing
wirelessly.

I'm looking for information on how one goes about setting
up the laptop to print wirelessly through the Airport.
It would be nice if there was a program which would
automatically configure everything as is done in the
Macintosh world.

Thanks in advance.

Can the Airport share files to the XP machine? If it can't then you'll need
to ask the network group on this one as I have never seen an Apple Airport.
