Whenever I press Crtl+Alt+Delete the task manager comes up, but somthing very
stranger occurs. The box containing all the programs running (tasks and
their status) appears with the options at the bottom to end tasks, switch to,
new task..., etc. The strange thing is that this is all that pops up... so
basically the tabs at the top (eg tasks, processes, etc etc) is no longer
there... nothing else at all appears actually (there is no close/minimize
bars at the top or anything). This confuses (and upsets me) many times and I
would really appreciate any help on how to fix this problem.
It may help to tell you that the time this problem arose was the first time
i used a spyware remover for my computer... after the automatic cleansing it
performed I noticed some strange things happening, so i had it restore
everything. But the only thing that still has a glitch is the task
manager... so if you are familiar with the problem or if you know a way to
possibly update/renew the task manager for windows xp professional, that help
would be greatly appreciated! thanks.
