XP Tablet Ed. and SP2

I would NOT recoomend installing SP2 on a tablet running Windows XP Tablet
edition. I have installed it two times now and both times it has created so
many problems it isn't funny. The oddest thing is that when you go into
Control Panels, Network Connections, Nothing is there. You can try and add
a connection but it just wants to add a dialup connect. If you go into
Device Manager, you can still see both the Ethernet and the Wireless cards.
If you go into a Command Prompt and type in winipcfg /all it lists the
connections and details for everything, but nothint is there.
Other things that do now work after installing SP2 include:
Search Function of of START, no longer works. You click it and nothing
happens.
Windows Update off of the Start Menu no longer works. Again, click it and
nothing.
This tablet had Office 2003 installed and you can no longer use Word as your
email editor because you get a message that it is not the correct version
any longer. (also noticed this on a desktop that I tested).

If anyone knows of any fixes for these, I would sure apreciate the info. I
was really eager to have SP2 on our tablets because of the additional
security but it is just totally unworkable at this point.

Thanks,

I've installed it on multiple systems including a tablet and a media center
pc. FWIW, I haven't experienced the problems you've mentioned, and it even
fixed a boot-up error I was getting on the tablet that I was too lazy to
hunt down and fix.
