XP-style folder tree in explorer

Hi all,

I seem to recall reading somewhere that there is a mod you can make to
change the style of the tree view from the Vista little arrow style back to
the XP and earlier "+ / -" with dotted lines indicating the nesting levels.
I like the arrows in Vista, but the indents are way to small for me to be
able to "read" the tree view at a glance... and of course, the arrows don't
show up until you mouse over.

I can't find where I read this anymore... or was I dreaming?

Nobody...?

What I would really like is the kind of tree display that Vista's regedit
has... little arrows AND dotted lines... far easier to read...

OK, I found it again... had to go back to the "manual" and carefully read
the section.

For anyone that cares, you have to go to folder options and uncheck "display
simple folder view in navigation pane". Then you get the dotted lines (the
next time you close and open the explorer window). I would have liked the
indents to be larger, but this is already much better for me...

How the f do you know what I did? Who the f are you to judge me? I asked
here because I remembered reading one line about it in one of the three
books I read on Vista, and couldn't remember where it was.

I thought some helpful soul here might remember what the setting was. It
took me an hour of searching the books to find the line again...

Still waiting for YOU to find me where it says that in the supplied
documentation on Vista and how the average person can find it. But I don't
expect you to get off YOUR dead ass.
