XP SP2 Problem

I upgraded to SP2 and since then have been unable to boot
into Windows. Safe mode shows it getting as far as
loading agpcpq.sys and then it restarts. If I boot with
the option of not restarting on failure I get a BSOD with
the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" message STOP 0x0000000A. I
have unplugged all USB devices, removed AGP card, USB PCI
card and modem card but it makes no difference.

I have managed to install another instance of XP on my
second hard drive (d:) and successfully applied SP2 to
this, and also re-installed Norton Internet Security
2004. This suggests to me that there is no compatability
with my hardware. I am writing this problem report from
the XP instance on d:

Any suggestions on either getting the XP instance on c:
working, or alternatively advising how I can copy the
contents of users documents and settings folders from c:
which are marked as private.

Martyn,

probably the drivers on your first installation are different.
Please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxSP2.htm.
