Hello! I've got a Dell Dimension 8200 and I am using the
CNet 200ProWL Network card. I downloaded SP2 a week or so
ago and now I am getting a message in my network
connection saying "limited or no connectivity." I can't
get a web page and according to my isp I can't even reach
their DHCP server. HELP HELP HELP!!!!

Sorry about that. Apparantly my web-site host is having some difficulties
today. It should be back up real soon.

Thanks!
Carey

I'm having the same problem using a Sierra AirCard. I
reinstalled my AirCard software and can get back
online... until I turn off my pc. When I turn it back
on, to get back online I have to reinstall my aircard
software again. So, for a temporary fix, try
reinstalling your Network card software.

Your ISP is right -- that message means that your network card can't
reach its DHCP server to get an IP address.

However, depending on what type of Internet service you have, that
might not be a problem. For example, a DSL connection that uses PPPoE
(PPP over Ethernet) doesn't assign an IP address to the network card.
It assigns an IP address to a PPPoE or Broadband connection in the
Network Connections folder.

If your Internet connection doesn't use PPPoE (e.g. you have a cable
modem), then try un-installing and re-installing the network card and
following the tips given here:

I usually uninstall QoS but I haven't tested this out to safely recommend
it.

What is your reason for unchecking it?

Thanks!
