I used a machine running XP SP2 to develope a Visual Basic 6 application
which now functions properly on machines running:
Win2000 SP4
XP SP2
XP SP1 with all pre-SP2 critical and recommended updates
When this app runs on a plain XP machine or an XP SP1 machine without the
updates, moving a vertical scrollbar to scroll a small, simple jpeg image up
or down (within a PictureBox control) has not effect. It appears that the
scrollbar works fine but that the new screen image is not being repainted to
display the image in its new position.
My client machines are all SP1 will not be moved to SP2 so the app must
function properly on machines running XP SP1 plus updates. I am trying to
identify the smallest possible subset of the more than 100 SP1 updates which
might alone fix the problem.
Does anyone have an idea of which ones to try first or any faster approach
other than trial and error?
